New Jersey's Investment in Independent Higher Education

• Direct State support in fiscal year 2008 to AICUNJ institutions: $20.4 million

AICUNJ institutions receive funds based on how many New Jersey residents are enrolled at the college/university and whether they receive financial aid

• Less than 1 percent of the State-provided institutional support to higher education helps support 17 percent of New Jersey's college students who are enrolled at AICUNJ institutions
