The PURE Science Program is intended to excite undergraduate students about science, and improve their understanding of scientific principles and the importance of scientific innovation. Ultimately, the program will help address the emerging and long-term workforce needs of New Jersey's pharmaceutical and medical technology industry by preparing undergraduate students in the breadth and depth of knowledge required to work in New Jersey's pharmaceutical research centers.

The PURE Science Program promotes innovative projects that:

ICFNJ's member colleges and universities award a large share of the four-year degrees that will be critical for the pharmaceutical and medical technology industry in New Jersey. This includes 33% of all business majors, 32% of all engineering majors, 31% of all nursing majors and 30% of all physical science majors. The PURE Science Program targets students pursuing degrees in these strategic fields enabling them to acquire new knowledge through strong mentoring and outstanding resources. The Program also helps students develop creativity, analytical skills and self-confidence to make them the most sought after among the pool of future job candidates.
